Documents received!

We received all of our plans and documents on Thursday and a copy has been sent off to the bank. Land settlement is due by the 20th of July and our pre-start meeting is booked for the 20th of August.

Unfortunately with the number of people taking advantage of the First Home Buyers' Grant, timeframes are a bit longer than usual. Once we've gone through pre-start and finalised all of our selections, the build will be scheduled and then the exciting part begins!

There are a few things that will change in the final plan, including upgrading the entrance to double doors, getting rid of the ridiculously overpriced bi-folding doors to the games room and replacing them with regular sliding doors, and a few other bits and pieces.

Delays...

After chasing things up with the Scott Park Homes sales consultant, we've found out that the building contract and plans will be ready for us to sign on the 24th of June. As the original settlement date was the 20th of June, we've had to get an extension - settlement is now planned for the 20th of July, giving us time to sign the contract for our broker to submit the loan application.

Apparently there are some pretty lengthy waits on pre-start bookings at the moment, so it looks like we're in for a bit of a wait!
